This Ming-style console table is our contemporary take on a classical Chinese design. This Flat Top Case (平头案) is a timeless design is popular in Southeast Asian households as altar tables, but historically this construction of table had many more mundane uses, such as reading or sitting.
The construction uses a unique interlocking joinery that defines the Flat Top Case. The motif references soft cloud shapes in the negative space. This is an investment in authentic artisanal heritage for collectors and design enthusiasts alike.
